Arnold, associate Erofessor of engineering research, as been named associate profes sor of journalism. He will continue as staff assis tant to President Eric A. Walker. Arnold is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he received his bachelor of arts de gree in English literature and also qualified for a master of arts de gree in English literature and a master of education degree in administration. Before his appointment to the University faculty in 1953, he held positions as technical editor of the U.S. Civil Engineering Re search and Development Lab oratory at Port Hueneme, Calif.; instructor in English at the Uni versity of Colorado; and as teach er of journalism and English in the La Juncta, Colo., public schools. He will present a program of solo readings entitled “Shakespeare’s Ages of Man.” The readings will include selec tions from most of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. Gielgud was born in London in 1904. He was educated at Westminster School and stud ied for the stage at Lady Ben son's School and the Royal Aca demy of Dramatic Art.
