PAGE EIGHI Registration Opens For 'Pep Motorcade Fraternities and independent units have until noon Thursday to register at the Hetzel Union desk for the sports and old car motorcade to be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The motocade will be held prior to the Boston University- Penn State football game pep rally. The pep rally will begin nt 7 15 p.m. Thursday in front of the HUB. Both events are sponsored by Androcles, junior men’s hat so ciety, and Chimes, junior women’s hat society. The parade of sports cars, both foreign and American, old time cars and novelty vehicles will begin at the HUB parking lot. The parade will travel from Shorilidge Road to West Col lege Ave., to Entrance Road and to Pollock Road. The cars will travel from Pollock Road to Burrowes Street and from Bur- j rowes Street to Curtin Road and back down Shorilidge Road to 1 the HUB parking lot. A 12-inch trophy will be given to the group which amasses the highest number of points in the parade. Fifteen points will be given for each old ear made before 1935; 10J points to 1958 model sports cars;! 10 points to novel vehicles suchj as decorated trucks, busses and; jeeps; and five points to 1956 and 1957 foreign and American sports cars When registering at the HUB ; desk, sponsors are to include ’ the name of the group, number of cars entered; and make, model and year of the entries. All cars entered in the parade will meet in the HUB parking lot at 6:15 pm Thuisday and the cars must complete the entire route of the parade. Convertibles carrying cheerleaders and mem bers of the sponsoring societies will lead the parade through State College and the campus. This money not only supports the candidate but will help provide for expan sion of the Hetzel Union Building facilities.
