Freshmen to Revolt
With Reverse Day
The humble frosh will have his well-deserved vengeance
today on the upperclassman. Today is Joint Reverse Customs
Upperclassmen must answer to the call of "Button" and
upperclasswomen must comply to the order to "Curtsy"
from both freshman men and
women.
Freshmen will have the privi
lege of stopping upperclassmen
and women to have them cheer
and sing school songs.
A record number of 21 fresh
men were brought before the
Freshman Customs Board last
night. Of these, 17 were found
guilty of breaking Customs regu
lations.

Informal Talk Planned
By Men's Debate Team
The Men's Debate Team will
hold an informal discussion for
all interested candidates at 7 p.m.
tomorrow in 214 Boucke.
Tryouts for the team will take
place on October 1. It will consist
of preparinga five-minute speech
on the topic: "Resolved that the
further development of nuclear
weapons should be prohibited by
international agreement."

Food service does not try to
discourage coeds from eating
breakfast, he indicated, but is
making efforts to accommodate
them.
Proffitt suggested that much of
the line congestion .may be re
lated to the fact that the dining
hall has been in full-time opera
tion for only two weeks. Such
congestion is frequent at first
when students are confronted
with a new dining situation, he
said.
Referring to the coeds, he said,
"I'm really sorry that they've
been inconvenienced.
Redifer Hall, which serves all
the women's South Residence
Halls, was opened last spring on
a part-capacity basis. All four
dining rooms are open for lunch
and dinner, Proffitt said.
