The presentation will be made
in a formal ceremony at the
Ogontz Center on Saturday.
The award, established by the
Board of Trustees. is intended
to recognize and honor the
achievements of persons who
have made an outstanding con

in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sutherland was graduated
from Radcliffe in 1899, taught
English and logic at Bradford
Academy in Massachusetts and
joined the faculty of the Ogontz
School in 1902 as a teacher of
English. In 1909 she became prin

Trustees, of which Dr. Suther
land was president, presented
the grounds, buildings and li

Temple University. In 1952, she
earned a master of arts degree
