For Awards Night
Tickets for Awards Night, which will be held from 7 to
9:45 p.m. in Recreation Hall, will go on sale this afternoon at
the Hetzel Union desk.
This year's night will combine the presentation of 30
Spring Week awards and concerts by the Phi Mu Alpha band
and the Axidentals with the Coro
nation of Aliss Penn State, which

Navy to Interview
At HUB Today.
A Navy officer will interview
and advise men interested in the
Navy's aviation cadet and avia
tion officer programs from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. today and tomorrow in
the Heim' Union eardroom.
The aviation cadet program is
designed for single men between
the ages of 18 and 25 who have
completed at least two years of
college.
The aviation officer candidate
program is for college graduates,
single or married, between the
ages of 19 and 26.

Students from five centers and
six colleges will attend the 10th
annual Pennsylvania Intercolle
giate Reading Festival to be held
at the University tomorrow and
Friday.
Representatives of the Univer
isity will include Elizabeth
,Harnecl, poetry; Floyd Santoro,
prose; Frank Cermak, drama; and
Kenneth Williams, who will par
ticipate in the reading hour
'Thursday night.
Dr. Charlotte I. Lee, associate
;professor of speech at Northwest
;ern University, will speak on
I "Anyone We Know?" a collection
;of character sketches by contem
porary authors, at the banquet at
;5:45p.m. tomorrow in the Hettel
Union Building.
Since the festival is not a con
test there will be no judging or
i rating. However, after each of the
sessions devoted exclusively to
;the reading of a particular form
of literature, Dr. Lee will discuss
Ithe criteria for interpreting that
form.

Will Speak
On Science
Dr. Charles E. Raven, personal .
chaplain to Queen Elizabeth, will
speak on "Recent Changes in the
Relation Between Religion and
Science" at 8 tomorrow in
121 Sparks.
Dr. Raven, former vice chan
cellor of Cambridge University,
is a canon in the Church of Eng
land. He is the author of many
biological works.
Dr. Raven delivered the Gifford
lectures at St. Andrews which
, have been published in two vol
rumes entitled "Science and Reli
gion" and "Experience and Inter
pretation." He is also the author
,of "Science and the Christian
Man."
Dr. Raven has been giving a
series of lectures at the University„
of Cincinnatti's College of Medi
cine which are designed to help
students understand the historical
and philosophical complications
of the medical profession.
He will be accompanied by his
wife. • Mrs. Raven, who served,
in the Belgian Resistance move-'
ment during World War 11, also is
a distinguished lecturer.
The lecture is sponsored by the'
faculty committee on religious
studies of the College of the Lib
era]. Arts. immediately following ,
the lecture there will he a public
reception for Dr. and Mrs. Raven,
in the Hetzel Union Building.
'European Thinking'
To Be Discussed
The Rev. Eberhard Bethge, an
anti-Nazi involved in the Hitler
assassination attempt July 20,
1944, and Mrs. Charles E. Raven,
Belgian under ground resistance
leader during World War 11, will
discuss "Contemporary Thinking
in Europe" at 7:30 tonight in the
memorial lounge of the Helen Ea
kin Eisenhower Chapel.
The forum is sponsored by
World University Service, cur
rently conducting a campus-wide
drive.

Two students, found guilty of
their fifth violation, will have
their cars sent home for 16 weeks,
and another with four violations
