School Study Group To Meet Next Week National leaders of School Study Councils will meet at the University Monday and Tuesday to discuss the role of the School Study Council. Registration will be held at the Nittany Lion Inn tomor row, and a reception is scheduled for tomorrow night at the lietzel Union Building. The first general session will be held at 9a m. Monday with Gilmore B. Seavers of Shippensburg, presi dent of the Pennsylvania School Study Council, presiding. Dr. John R. Rackley, dean of the College of Education. will ex tend greetings, and Dr. Walter J. DeLacy, professor of education and executive secretary of the Pennsylvania Council, will con duct the orientation. "How School Study Councils Are Perceived," will be the sub- , ject for the general session at 1 p.m. Monday, with Dr. H. W. Dessenberger, of Sharon Hill, as leader. He has his own! modern jazz show there, which he calls "Contemporary Concepts." "One night when I was still a; freshman," Bob said, "I was upl at the radio station to hear a tape' of our quartet. I happened to ask I if WDFM had any show for con-' temporary jazz. The station man ager asked if I'd like to do one, ,and had me audition. Before long , II had my own 15-minute show." In seven weeks Bob's show had grown to an hour a week, and it has remained so for the past two years. It can be heard Thursdays between 7 and 8 p.m. This is a vocation Bob hopes will continue throughout his life. Music seems to play a major part in Bob's life for he spends his Wednesday and Saturday nights playing with the Don 'Krebs Quartet, also known as the IFrank Telesca•Combo. Bob plays the bass fiddle. "Making hi-fidelity recordings is my hobby," Bob said. "It start ed when I used to record wed dings as a• part-time job when I was in high school." Now he is continuing in this line for his own enjoyment. "My goal is to obtain a com plete collection of campus talent," Bob explained. Bob says that in order to study. all his texts must be read to him. "I especially appreciate the help that the girls of two sororities have given me," he said. He figures, however, that it takes him twice as long to study 'a page, having it read to him, as it would take could he read it himself. His exams are either typewritten or taken orally.
