Miss Jersun was recommended for the position by Carol Jones, present judicial chairman. Miss Jersun, now serving as a mem ber of WSGA Judicial board, will take over duties as chairman Monday_ The date for the WSGA retreat was changed from Sunday to April 23 and will replace the usual Senate meeting. The re heat will be at 6:30 p.m. in the recreation room of Hibbs Hall. Ellen Donovan, WSGA presi dent, announced that the first state meeting of the Intercol legiate Association of Women Students will be on this campus in the Fall. Trainer said the landscaping: department was "very fortunate"! this year, because of the fair! weather throughout most of they spraying. The heavy spraying, on the large elms on the Mall and( along campus roads, was done for the first time at night this year, Trainer said. He said the heavy! spraying took three nights, and! was done by spotlight. By the end of the spraying campaign, Trainer said, all cam pus trees and shrubs will have been sprayed, including 346 elm trees. Emphasis in the spraying was placed on the destruction of the elm bark beetle in an effort to protect the campus elm trees from the Dutch elm disease that is ac tive in Centre County.
