Donald Gould. junior in animal
husbandry from North Wales,
suggested that the Field Day
should have such contests as calf
roping, tractor driving and cow
mil king and that the program
should be held in conjunction
with the Dairy Exposition.
Russell Beatty, president of the
council, said the council will se
lect an honor council, to judge the
offenders of a proposed honor
system, within the next two
weeks. No immediate action was
taken on the selection. Beatty
urged enforcement of the honor
system in all the Agriculture cur
ricylums.
Charles Huston, Ag Hill Party
chairman suggested that for a
better planned party the assistant
■chairman of the party and the
party representatives from the Ag
Clubs should be chosen m the
spring semester.
Ferdinand Garbin, junior in
agronomy from Turtle Creek, was
chosen assistant party chairman
for next tear.
McFeely Wins 1
Slide Contest
Herbert F. McFeely was given
first prize and an honorable men
tion in the slide competition con
ducted recently by the State Col
lege Color Slide Club.
McFeely’s winning slide was an
autumn view of a doorway: his
honorable mention slide was a
campus winter scene.
Other winners were Paul Ste
phens. “Bee and Apple Blossvns,"
second prize: R. Newton. “Bee
and Spider.” third prize: Carl
Dossin. “Beauty Along the
Beach,” honorable mention; and
Larry McGrael,“Sunlight Through
Autumn Leaves." honorable men
tion.
