Cuban Rebels Raid Bank, Spurn Cash HAVANA, Feb. 26 UP)— Cuban: rebels boldly raided the Batista I government’s National Bank of Cuba today in their campaign to ridicule the regime during the na tional sports festival. Striking boldly in downtown Havana, the raiders spurned cash. But pouches containing thousands of checks went up in flames. The Atomic Energy Commis sion authorized its Argonne Na tional Laboratory near Chicago to construct a fuels technology center where work will be speed ed on the many problems in volved. Feb. 26 (JP)— Science today became a required course of instruction for children attending Pennsylvania public schools from kindergarten to sixth grade. The State Council of Education adopted the plan as part of an overall tightening of Pennsylvania school requirements. Other recommendations of the confer e n c e, all unanimously i adopted with some slight alter ations, will: Require high school students to take a minimum of three years of English; three years of social studies; one year of health and I physical education; one year of : science and one year of mathe matins or a foreign language as an alternate.
