Honor Code Signers
May Get Privileges
The Women's Student Government Association Senate
has given a 1 vote of confidence to a recommendation that
women who have signed the WSGA Hcnor Code be given
additional privileges, or "responsibilities."
As to what might be Included no specific suggestions were,
made, although freedom from,'
.signing in and out of the dorm-'
itories was suggested.
During discussion, Mrs. R. Mae
Shultz, assistant to the dean of
women, gave several incidents
where the only way of locating
coeds involved in accidents was
through the sign out sheet, and
Senate members supported the
opinion that signing in and out is
primarily a safety measure.
The matter was referred to
the 'lmplementations Commit
tee, for new ideas.
• Susan Whittington, junior in
arts and letters from Arlington,
Va.. was appointed co-chairman
of the Implementations Commit
tee to replace Sybil Kersh, who
resigned.
It was announced that nomina- 1
tions have been held for dorm
itory officers in all women's dorms
and final elections will be held
Wednesday night.
Candidates are required to
have a 2.5 all-University aver
age and no major judicial rec
ord.
