But Cincinnati's (Continued on pagereight) Dickey Resigns As Yank Coach; Houck New Aide NEW YORK, Dec. 17 (N) Ralph Houk, former New York Yankee catcher who managed Denver of the American Associ ation for the last three years, to day was named a coach of the Yankees. Houk, 37, succeeds Bill Dickey who has - retired. Dickey- suffered nervous exhaustion in spring training last year and never re joined the club. His place was taken during 1957 by Randy Gumpert and later by Charlie Keller. In announcing Dickey's retire ment, the Yankees said the for mer catching' great and Hall of Fame member is recuperating at his Little Rock home and will be welcomed back when he is ready to resume work.
