Campus Elects 3 Officers;

Campus Part•: Sunday night elected three persons to
clique po:iitions and opened nominations for party candidacy
for the fall elections.
Lion Party held a short meeting Sunday at which 98 new
members registered and 140 others picked up party cards:

Theodore Haller was named
chairman of the subcommittee to
study the rotation plan. Marilyn
Cohen is secretary. Other mem
bers are Harry Martini, Lianne
Corder°, Stanley Foster and Jan
ice Juppenlatz.
Members of the subcommittee
to study the penalization clause
are: Ruby Seaman, chairman, Ar
lene D'Onofrio, Milton McGriff
and John McArthur. Peter Fish
burn, Elections Committee chair
man, asked the committee to be
gin work immediately so that the
clause car. be "straightened out"
before the elections Nov. 13 and
14.
Named to the subcommittee
to study clique finances were
Frederick Taylor, chairman, Ches
ter Zimolzak, Mary Nash and
Paula Miller.
On the publicity subcommit
tee are Richard Armen, chairman,
Matthew Mathews, Sandra Grot
sky, David Faust, Barbara Mar
tino and Patricia O'Neill. After
the elections, the commiteee will
study the issue of decentralized
versus centralized voting.
When the subcommittees have
completed a study of the topics
they will draw up recommenda
tions and present them to Elec
tions Committee. If Elections
Committee approves the recom
mendations they will go before
AU-University Cabinet.
Fishburn said ballots will be
used in place of voting machines
for the fall elections. No machines
are available because of the com
ing state elections.
AIM, Leonides
To Be on Air
The Asz,ociation of Independent
Men and Leonides will be the
topics for discussion on "Forum of
the Air," All-University Cabinet's
weekly radio program broadcast
at 9:30 p.m Tuesdays over WDFM
and WMAJ,
Lorraine Jablonski. president of
Leonides, and John Morgan, presi-i
dent of AIM, will be the speakers.;
Jay Feldstein will be moderator.
Questions to be discussed are:
"Is AIM effective on campus? If

may submit self-nomination

Council elections.
Nomination blanks are avail

110 Burrower. Second semester
freshmen must have a minimum
average of 2.4.
Nominees must submit two
photographs with the nomination
for use at the polls.
Elections will be held Oct. 30
and 31.

Dr. E. Cuyler Hammond. of
Yale University Medical Society.
will discuss "Cigarette Smoking
and Lung Cancer" at 8 tonight in
the Mineral Sciences Auditorium.
The lecture. sponsored by the
Society of the Sigma Xi, is open
to the public.
Hammond is associated with
the American Cancer Society.
