PAGE FOUR He-Man, Queen of Hearts Applications Due Monday Applications for the He-Man Contest and the ‘‘Queen of, Hearts” tournament will be due Monday at the Hetzel Union desk, according to John Heinze, He-Man chairman of Spring Week Sponsoring groups may obtain application blanks at the HUb de>k The preliminary events of the, H -Man contest, will be held on: April 28 at Beaver Field, with! the 100-yard dash and the shot-i put. The first ten men in each! event will receive points in the| order of their finish. The ten menj with the highest combined scores' will be qualified for the finals. The final events, to be held on! May 1 at Beaver Field, will be| the 100-yard dash, the shot-put, 1 the bench press and the steeple chase. 10 Points for First Place Tbe scoring system for the final events will be 10 points for first place, nine for second, eight! fo- third, seven for fourth and six ! for the rest of the finalists. : The scoring system has been changed in order to reduce the possibility of a tie for the first four places.* Previously the first place winner received 10 points, second place winner five points, third place winne • three points and the other six finalists two points. In case of rain both the pre-i liminary and final events will be! held at Recreation Hall, and the! preliminary events will include! a three-lap track event and the bench press. STATE COLLEGE PENNSYLVANIA (Olympics' Set \By Riding Club The Riding Club will present jthe fourth annual modified Olym pic three-day event tomorrow* and Sunday. Riders from the Blue Ridge Hunt Club in Virginia will be competing against University rid ers. This event is the only one of its kind held by a college or uni versity. The three-day event is pat terned after that held in the Equestrian Olympics, but it is held only on tw*o days. The first “day,” Saturday morn ing, consists of dressage in the ring to test the training of the horse. The second “day,” Satur day afternoon, is a 13-mile cross country endurance test over roads, trails and natural obstacles. The third “day,” Sunday afternoon, features open jumping in the ring.
