Jack Stewart, Delta Upsilon's 145-pound runner-up, copped an impressive 7-0 triumph over Theta Xi's Les Boyer. Stewart racked up a reverse, near pin, escape, predicament, and riding time to win. Another 1956 titlist, Jim Hart of Acacia, has to wait unt pound match with John Bittinger. Chi Phi. Last night's bout was, postponed. Seig gained the quarterfinals by notching a decisive fall over Lion cage star Ron Rainey, Pi' Kappa Phi, in a heavyweight en counter. The Chi Phi matman led, 6-0, before nailing Rainey to the mat at 2:45 Paul Freedel, Zeta Beta Tau, scored a thrilling pin over Gerry De Croce, Theta Kappa Phi, in a 128-pound bout. Leading, 2-0, in the second period, Freedel re versed his opponent into a body press to gain the fall just as the 4:00 whistle sounded. Joe Bellwoar, Pi Kappa Phi. registered the fastest fall of the evening in a 135-pound scrap with ZBT's Lou Savadove. The Pi Kap grappler used an inside crotch and half-nelson to stretch Savadove at 2:11. Alpha Zeta's Duane Tobias chalked up the most lopsided win of the night, a 13-0 runaway over Dick Barth, Theta Xi. The win ning 165-pounder scored a take down, a pair of reverses, three nearfalls, and a time advantage to account for his 13-point white wash. John Frey, Beta Theta Pi, hung a tight 2-0 loss on head wrestling manager Lou Camp, Alpha Tau Omega, in a 155-pound tilt. Frey engineered an escape and time advantage to eke out the win. Independent grappler Glen Klippenstein employed an arm bar and crotch to down 145- pounder Gene Whitney at 2:25. Another top Indie match saw Ron Slimak show Al Kendall the lights at 3:15 of a heavyweight tilt. Don Tinsman, Acacia, emerged with a default victory over Zet: Beta Tau's Jay Skolnick.
