The New Dramatists are spon soring a plan which assists tal- 1 ented new playwrights by giving them the opportunity to see Broadway productions, meet and talk with theatrical persons, dis cuss their plays and see their work in rehearsal. Play is Drama "First" The presentation of "One's a Crowd” is the New Dramatics* first attempt in distributing its plays to universities and com munity theatres. Eugene Raskin, author of the comedy, is director of the advis-1 ory board of the New Dramatists and also an associate professor of architecture at Columbia Univer sity. Author Visits Campus During the play castings, Ras kin visited the University to work with the director on script changes and to attend rehearsals. Besides “One’s a Crowd," Ras ldn has produced three other plays including “Amata." "The Last Island" and “Onward Vik ing." “One’s a Crowd" is the third original production to he present ed by Players in the last three] years. The first two. both written' by University students, were “The First Day of Summer" by Bert States and “Pillars in the, Night" by Bill Coleman.
