Crowds Persist
The persistent crowd thwarted
the efforts of hatmen and cheer
leaders to clear a pathway for
the rope-pulling contest
The rope was finally removed
to the corner of Eurrowes Rd, in
front of McKee Hall while the
crowd's attention was diverted by
the Air Force Pep Band.
Frosh Pull Rope 10 Beaver Field
Before the contest could get of
ficially underway, 80 freshmen
jumped on the rope and began
pulling it toward Beaver Field.
After the freshmen had offi
cially won the contest they con
tinued the "big pull" until they
wrapped it around a Beaver Field
goal post amid cries of "Burn the
Dinks."
