Sigma Pi's Don Gordon was the other 121-pounder to win when he pinned Jim Hamilton. of Bea ver House, in 3.37. Gordon owned a 4.0 lead at the time of his fall. Beta Theta Pi's Bill Paxton proved ton much for Kappa Sig ma's Billy Gosnell. Paxton, the ciandont vars.ity gymnast who was a wrestler in his high school days at Latrobe. pinned the hust ling Gocncll in 1.03 of the first period Phi Kappa's Bill Mello needed a little more time to pin Dick Yoder, of Delta Upsilon. on the short end of a 2.0 score at the end of the first stanza, pinned his opponent in 3:56. Phil Litow, Phi Epsilon Pi's 145-pound entry, pinned Delta Tau Delta's Bob McMillan in 2:?3 with a body press. Jack Williams, Lambda Chi Alpha, also chalked up five points for his House when he pinned Delta Chi's Jack Transue in 4:16. Williams was in control most of the time and led 6-1 at the time of his fall. Thueta Deli. pushed another man into the i;econd round when Fritz Condon flath•ned Phi Kappa Psi's John Wmteinottom in 3:46. Williams received two points for a near fall when picture was taken but he went on to pin his foe in 4:16. Duyne when he pinned Don Mc- Williams of Phi Sigma Kappa at 3:51. Van Duyne was ahead 4-0 before the fall. Three decisions were scored in the 145-pound class. Al Dav ies. Phi Sigma Kappa. won his second match of the tourney when he completely outclassed Tay Ulrich, Phi Kappa. 9-0. In another 145-pound match Phi Kappa Sig's Bob McMath had a little trouble before deci sioning Larry Metzger, Alpha Chi Rho, 9-4. Jim Benford, Alpha Sigma Phi, squeezed out a 2-0 decision over Sam Harvey. Beaver House. Ben ford scored his points on a third period escape and time advan tage. John Frey was the second Beta House entry to win, completely outclassing Sigma Chi's Sam Rodgers, 7-0.
