Contest to Get
New Deadline
The deadline for pictures of
candidates for freshman queen
has been extended until noon
Saturday.
Pictures should be turned in
at the fleheel Union desk with
the name and campus address of
1110 coeds. Ail freshman women,
except those on the Freshmen Ad

lected by applause at the annual

Thompson told the meeting that
Toga Talcs would be published
every two months. in the future
instead of every month. He said
the type face had been changed to
give the paper more space and an
effort would be made to include
more useful information in the
paper.

Elections

said, by agreement of the two
clique chairmen. If any stalemate
'had come about, he added, it
would have been settled by a flip
of the coin, he added.
The decision on the elections
dates means that the first clique
meeting will have to be held on
Feb, 26, the second on March 4
and third on March 11. The Elec
tions Code states that each party
must hold three clique meetings
prior to the elections.
Old Cards Are Void
13eidler emphasized the fact
that the clique cards from the fall
elections will he void for the
spring elections and that to be eli
gible to vote in the coming meet
ings clique members will have to
register with the Elections Com
mittee and receive new clique
cards.
In order to be eligible to vote
for the pasty's slate of candidates
at the third clique meeting a
clique member must have attend
ed at least two of the three meet
ings.
After a clique member has re
ceived his clique card he need
only present it to an Elections
Committee member at the clique
meeting to be admitted.
To Interview 24
The Cabinet Personnel Inter
viewing Committee will interview
24 applicants for the four vacant
spots on the Elections Committee
tonight. The four that are chosen
will likely be brought before
Cabinet for approval Thursday
night.
Beidler also appointed Pogal to
head a committee to work with
the Central Promotion Agency on
publicity for the elections. Other
members of the committee are Do
lores Jones. Robert Krakoff and
Robert Heck.
Pollock Council to Meet
Pollock Council will meet at
6:30 tonight in Nittany 20 to dis
cuss appointment of several new
officers.

TIM to Accept
Contest Entries
At HUB Desk
Entrants for the Town Indepen
dent Men ping pong tournament,
to be held the latter part of
March, may register at the Hetzel
Union desk.
All students are eligible for the
free contest. Men and women en
trants will be placed in separate
categories. The winner of each
group will he crowned All-Univer
sity ping pong champion in his
respective class.
The contest will be on a single
elimination basis. Winners will be
determined on the best-of-three
games basis. Each contestant must
provide his own equipment.
Final and semi-final matches
will he played in the HUB ball
room Other matches .will be
played at the discretion of the
contestants.
A trophy will be awarded to the
winner of each division. The three
runner-ups in each division will
also receive awards.
No plan,; have been set for the
start of the tournament. Robert
Cole. TIM president, said the final
match will he played sometime be
fore Easter vacation.
