46 Fraternities to Hold
House Parties, Picnics
Forty-six fraternities have planned picnics, formal
the Saturday night of Senior Ball Weekend. Party goers
thing from Bermuda shorts 1 to formal gowns.
Acacia has chosen a Broadway musical
to play for the dapce, which is open after 10
Bathing suits, Bermuda shorts,
and straw hats will be seen at
Alpha Chi Rho's closed beach
party. The Four Guys will play
for the evening’s dancing.
Hula skirts, ukeleles, and loud
shirts- Will be seen at Alpha Epsi
lon Pi's Hawaiian party, while
party goers at Alpha Gamma Rho
will wear pajamas for the “Mid
night Mischief ’ costume ball.
The Esquires will play for
Alpha Phi Della's South Sea Is
land party, but black faces will
be in order for Alpha Rho Chl's
minstrel show.
Alpha Sigma Phi will hold a
closed Top Hat formal with Arch
ie Sirianni and his orchestra.
Alpha Tau Omega is having a
lawn party tomorrow evening
which will be open at 10:30 pun.
“Dragon Cafe, theme of Alpha
Zeta's formal, will feature Dick
Thomas and his orchestra. The
dance will be open at 10 p:m.
Herschel Kanour and his orches
tra will play for Beaver House's
“Pirate Panic,” Which will be
open at 11 p.m.
Dave Apple and his Applejacks
will play for Beta Sigma Rho's
formal, in honor of the gfdduating
seniors. • ,
Bela Theta Pi Will have a picnic
at Black Moshannon tomorrow af
ternoon while Chi Phi will spon
sor a jam session with the Jack
Crass quintet. The session will be
open at 10:30 p.m.
An informal party will be held
at Delta Chi and the Tune Stylists
will play for Delta Sigtna Phi's
Carnation Ball.
Delta Tau Della will hold a
spring formal with Lee Vincent
and his orchestra. Delta Sigma
Lambda will be turned into the
Golden Nugget Saloon for their
Western party, open' after 10 p.m.
Delta Upsilon will participate' in
weekend festivities with their for
mal Sweetheart Dance, while
Kappa Delta Rho is hoping for
warm weather for their “Beach
comber Party.”
A pajama party will be,the’ Sat
urday night special at Kappa Sig
ma. The party will be open at
11:30 p.m.
Phi Della Theta, will celebrate
the weekend with their annual
Bowery Ball.
Delta Theta Sigma's “Beach
Blast” will be a closed affair.
Phi Epsilon Pi will hold a. for
mal Senior Ball at the Autoport
Restaurant, and Phi Gamma Delta
will hold an all-day clam. bake.
Phi Kappa will spend Saturday
evening at a Beach Party. Phi
Kappa Sigma will turn out in old
clothes for their "Poverty and
Junkyard” party.
Phi Kappa Tau will hold a pic
nic tomorrow anjj Phi Mu Delta
will travel south' for their South
Sea Island party.
Phi Sigma Delta will sponsor
the “Last Blast,” a combination
of all their party themes from
the last three years in honor of
graduating seniors. The party
will be held open at 11 p.m.
Phi Sigma Kappa will hold their
theme, with
p.m.
formal pledge dance, open after
11p.m. Pi Kappa Afaha will go
continental with a French Cafe
party.
Pi Kappa Phi will celebrate the
weekend with a picnic tomorrow
afternoon at Seven Mountains.
French tables, caberet style, and
candies are part of the decorations
for the Cafe Marseilles, theme of
Pi Kappa Alpha's closed party.
Sarongs and palm trees will
highlight the South Sea Island
party at Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
The Nine Notes will provide music
for the affair, which will be open
at 11p.m.
Sigma Alpha Mu will hold its
second annual circus party, com
plete with circus tents and gay
clown costumes. The Four D’s
will provide music for the open
party.
Jack Huber and his orchestra
will play for Sigma Chi's Sweet
heart Ball. The dance is closed
until 11 p.m.
Old clothes will be in style for
a visit to Sigma Nu's Hobo Haven,
which will be open all pvening.
Sigma Phi Alpha will hold a
senior dance tomorrow night,
which will be open all evening.
The good old-fashioned days
spent on the farm, tramping
through the open meadows, will
return to Sigma Phi Epsilon to
morrow night for the Moonshin
er’s Ball. Steve Parker and his
orchestra will play for the party
which will be open at 11p.m.
Bermuda shorts will be proper
attire for the shirttail party at
Sigma PL Which will be open at
11 p.m. Music will be furnished by
the Troisl Brothers.
. Seniors will be honored at the
picnic planned by' Tau Kappa Ep
silon tomorrow afternoon at Black
Moshannon. Supper will be served
in the form of a wiener roast and
steak fry.
Seven Mountains Scout Camp
is the Site 6f the cabin party and
steak fry sponsored by Tau Phi
Delta tomorrow night. The affair
will be closed.
Summer Vacations, with the
emphasis on relaxing, is the theme
of -the . dosed party planned by
Theta Chi tomorrow night.
Colorful, historical New Or
leans will be recreated for those
attending Theta Delta Chi's an
nual Mardi Gras party tomorrow
night. Johnny Nicolosi and his or
chestra will play for the famous
persons’ dress party, which will
be open at 11 p.m.
Beachcombers, grass skirts, and
sarongs will highlight Theta Xi's
annual Polynesian Party. The
Mello Tones will play for the
dance which will be open at 11
p.m.
Triangle will hold an afternoon
picnic at Black Moshannon and
then return for a record dance,
with "p.j.’s” for costumes. '

Wilson to Visit England
Frank Wilson, sophomore in
agricultural education from Mont
rose, is one of four Future Farm
ers of America chosen to spend
the summer months in Great
Britain under the International
Youth Exchange program. Wilson
is a former Pennsylvania State
FFA president.
