To Hold Recital
The third and final production
of the dance recital will be held
at 8 tonight in White Hall.
The sororities will serve break
fast in their suites for visiting
parents tomorrow morning. Leon
ides is sponsoring a breakfast for
parents in Atherton Hall tomor
row. Fraternities also have plan
ned special events for parents.
The Rev. Dr. Liston Pope, dean
of the divinity school of Yale Uni
versity, will speak on the “Begin
ning of Knowledge” at the Chapel
service to be held at 10:55 a.m.
tomorrow in Schwab Auditorium.
Halls to Be Open
The men’s residence halls will
be open to guests from 2 until
5 p.m. tomorrow. The men stu
dents living in the West Halls
will hold a tea at this time.
The Air Force Drill Team, Per
shing Rifles, and the Navy Drill
Team will compete at 2 p.m. Sun
day in front of Old Main.
The Men’s Glee Club, directed
by Frank Gullo, associate profes
sor of music, will present a con
cert at 3 p.m. tomorrow in Schwab
Auditorium.
Cheerleading Tryouts
Scheduled Tomorrow
Tryouts for cheerleaders will
be held at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow
in front of Old Main. Second
semester freshmen with at
least a 1.0 All-University aver
age may try out.
The present cheerleading
squad will meet at 6 p.m. to
morrow in front of Old Main.
SPRING WEEK BOOKLETS
Spring Week souvenir booklets
will be on sale at noon today, to
morrow and next week across
from the Hetzel Union desk.
The souvenir booklet will con
tain articles on the four parade
and carnival categories—Farmer’s
High School, Agricultural Col
lege, the Pennsylvania State Col
lege, and the Pennsylvania State
University. It will also contain
pictures of last year’s winners in
all events, parade and carnival
pictures.
There will be an article on
each Spring Week event and
maps ot the parade route and
carnival midway.
The booklet, written by Spring
Week committee chairmen, will
sell for 10 cents and proceeds
will go to the Scholarship Fund.
CONTEST- ENTRIES
Entrants in the Miss Penn State
contest may pick up their pic
tures at the Hetzel Union desk,
according to Carole Avery, coro
nation chairman.
3 Drill Teams
Will Compete
Three campus drill teams will
compete in the second annual Mil
ton S. Eisenhower All-University
Drill Competition at 2 p.m. tomor
row m front of Old Main.
Pershing Rifles Drill Team, Air
Force Reserved Officers Training
Corps Drill Team; and the Naval
Reserved Officers Training Corps
will compete for the trophy which
has been on display at the Hetzel
Union desk. The AFROTC Drill
Team is the defending champion.
David H. McKinley, University
Marshall and assistant dean of the
College of Business, will present
the trophy to the winning team.
