AIM Judicial Asks
Probation for Two
The Association of Independent Men’s Judicial Board of
Review Wednesday night recommended that the dean Of men’s
office place one student on judicial probation and another on
office probation.
The student receiving judicial was accused of drinking
on campus. The student, a first
semester animal husbandry major,
was seen by a counselor drink
ing in parking area 42, just out
side Pollock Dorm 2, early Sun
day morning.
The student who is to receive
office probation was accused of
attempting to light a box of
matches in Waring Hall last
Wednesday evening. This student,
a first semester civil engineering
major, was seen by a counselor as
he was kneeling on the floor in
Waring Hall preparing to light
a small box of matches, having
just dropped the matches on the
floor
Along with both recommenda
tions went the provision that a
letter be sent to the parents of
the students with regard to the
incidents.
Neither student had been pre
viously before the board.
Judicial probation pro vides
that the student attend the board
meeting whenever so requested
by the board.
Office probation provides that
the student appear for periodic
interviews at the dean of men’s
office, for a period to be deter
mined by that office.
The students may appeal their
cases to the dean of men’s office
within five days.
The Senate student affairs sub
committee on discipline upheld
the recommendation of the b6ard
made last week that these stu
dents be suspended from the.
University, and another be placed
on disciplinary probation for an
indefinite period for a series of
misdemeanors in the Pollock
area, over the entire school year.
Two of these students, both sec
ond semester engineering majors,
had been previously before the
board and will not be eligible for
readmission until the spring se
mester of 1956.
The third student, a sixth se
mester engineering major, will be
eligible for readmission in the
fall semester of 1955.

This was moved in answer to a
request by Donald Balthaser, rep

Cabinet heed the problem of Whe
