THE PERFECT PIZZA SALLY'S WE DELIVER AD 7-2373 By INEZ ALTHOUSE The original WSGA rule con cerning drinking provided that: "Drinking by women students is forbidden by the College and WSGA which reserves the right to refer cases to the Judicial Com mittee and the College adminis tration." Senate felt student opinion should be obtained before a defi nite step was taken, and a com mittee was set up to consider a questionnaire concerning the mod ified rule and possible student enforcement. The questionnaire would be dis tributed to all women students. Results from this poll would be considered in future discussions and recommendations for a con crete rule. Discuss Checker System Discussion centered around the possibility of a system of checkers to enforce the rule. No agreement was reached on who these check ers would be or where the power of enforcement would lie. From the questionnaire Senate will attempt to learn student opinion on the rule and whether they would favor student enforce ment. Joyce Shusman and Patricia McLauchlin are co-chairmen of the committee. Others on the committee are Carolyn Cunning ham, Patricia Lehr, Patricia Dick inson, and Patricia Ellis. Convocation to Be Held WSGA Convocation will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in McElwain lounge. Helen Schleman, dean of women at Purdue University, will be guest speaker. A dinner for old and new Senate members will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Mc- Elwain Hall. A short reception will follow the Convocation. Senate passed a rule stating that any student may turn in another for line-jumping in Thompson Hall, and that the violator will receive a blackmark for the of fense. Two students, however, must sign the slip reporting the violation, and the slip will be given to the hostess in charge, who will give the blackmark. This rule was recommended by Fresh man Council, and will apply only to Thompson Hall, since it was felt that the line-jumping prob lem existed there only. Joyce Shusman, chairman of Judicial, reported that members of Judicial will be chosen by a screening board after applications on printed forms have been sub mitted by interested students. This system will follow that used to select candidates for WSGA TIME I S RUNNING OUT . . . During the receive a five-week training per iod at Camp Miniwanca in Musk egon, Mich. Attends College • • In September the foundation sends the graduates to college and university campuses throughout the nation and supports them for . one year. The graduate is sent to a campus at least 1000 miles from her home. At the end of the year she is under no obligations to the foundation and may choose whatever position she desires. Before a Danforth graduate is placed in a college or university, the institution must show a defi nite need for the graduate, and the Foundation must feel that the graduate will be welcomed and can be of service to the school and the students. A particular school usually has a graduate for only two consecutive years. Allen Chosen Carolyn Allen is the Univer sity's "Danny grad" this year. And away we go!— Not layette, coquette or An toinette, but Susanette;. a kind of whittled down version of those revolving serving trays that lets everyone get their fingers in at one time. But this is a flat, 8" diameter and makes any tray a lazy susan, revolves a radio for clearer reception (or if it's a clock job, keeps you farther away from the alarm), heatproof, scratchproof—it's a great boon to scrabblers (saving on words) who can't read upside down.
