PAGE EIGHT Archery Group Is Organized By Outing Club The field and stream division of the Penn State Outing Club lias established an archery club. 'Hie first meeting will be held at 7 p.m tomorrow in :09 Willard. Anyone may join. Frederick L. Hoffman, associate professor of industrial engineer ing, will, attend he meeting to demonstrate making bows and ar rows to b>- used by tne club. He will also act as adviser to the g’oup and will conduct classes if enough interest is shown. The e’u, will sponsor archery matches building a range, and classes on bow and arrow con struction with material provided at nomina' costs. Another Outing Club group will also meet a' 2 p.m. Sunday, at the rear of OIJ Main. The group will go by car to Boalsburg to hike on the ski cabin + 'ails. In addition, a work party will be held at the ski cabin. Later in the afternoon both -roups will meet at the forestry cabin for din ner and square dancing. Delta Nu Alpha Holds Initiation Delta Nu Alpha, transportation fraternity, held its spring semes ter initiation Thursday evening at Phi Sigma Kappa. Men initiated were Jay Best, Philip Bucher, John Carr. James Claspy. Richard Hays, and Ro bert Paulson. George McClellan, vice presi dent of the Bellefonte Central Railroad, was made an honorary member. Prexy Attends I Stag ' Dinner At White House Dr. Milton S. Eisenhower, presi dent of the University, was among the guests at President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s “stag” dinner Saturday night in Washington which followed the White House announcement that th guest lists of future dinners will not be re vealed. A split between *he administra tion and the press appeared like ly following the announcement by Press Secretary James C. Hager ty that the “affairs were personal and private” and the ” r hite House did not desire to give any pub licity to the guest lists. The New Yqrk Times reported that Hagerty, when reminded that the Eisenhower administration had promised more, not less news, “slowly and audibly counted to ten to control his temper before answering.” Then, he said, the Times reported, no defense of the decision was necessary. Officers of the club are John Valentine, president, eighth semester arts and letters major, and Ronald Hoopes, vice president, eighth semester indus trial engineering major. Faculty adviser is Theodore Richards, as sistant professor of agriculture ex tension. A charter was granted to Sig ma Pi Eta, national hotel honor ary society, which replaces Sig ma Eta Alpha, a local hotel hon orary group. President of the group is Andrew Stavres, eighth semester hotel administration ma jor. Faculty adviser is Richard Bower, assistant professor of ho tel administration. The American Meteorological Society was reactivated and giv en a charter.
