Probation Recommended
For Dorm Line-Jumper
: A second semester business ad
ministration major accused of line
jumping in the West Dorm dining
hall was recommended for judi
cial probatioi by the Judicial
Board of Review of the Associa
tion of Independent Men Wednes
day night.
The accused student broke "in
to the waiting line with friends a
considerable distance ahead of the
etid of the line,” a dean of men’s
office report said.
.JWhen the s : u d e n t was ap
phpached by a floor counselor of
tlse West Dorm area he was ac
cused of being defensive and of
refusing to move to the end of
the line.
:’The residence hall counselor
took the meal ticket number of
the student and reported the inci
dent to the dean’s office.
In an interview with James W.
Dean, assistant to the Dean "of
Mfcn in charge of independent af
fairs, the student admitted his
actions but stated that others were
gtiilty of the same practice.
.The student admitted to the
bgard that he was wrong and said
that he didn’t realize that any
one could turn in a student for

sequences of line jumping.
The recommendation of judicial
probation to the dean included the
stipulation that the student could
b>. called before the board at anv
time and that a record of the of
fense would be kept by the board
but would not be entered in the
dean of men’s office.
This recommendation to the
dean of men’s office may be ap
pealed by the student within five
days.
The board said any student can
report another student for line
jumping.
