House Discusses Rule
Enforcement Question
By CAROLE GIBBON
.# Discussion of questionnaires to be distributed among women stu
dents concerning the . enforcement of Women Student Government
rules was discussed by the WSGA House of Representatives last
night.
The enforcement plan; as suggested by the WSGA would be
built around a hall chairman whose duty it would be to turn in
~suggestions for penalties to the
WSGA Judicial committee.
The chairmen Would be self
appointed and would be inter
viewed for their position by a
WSGA screening committee.
,Qualifications would • be a 1.5
All-University average and no
major judicial record, •
The length of time the hall
chairman would serve in all has
not been suggested, and is one of
the questions asked on the ques
tionnaire. - ,
The place of the 'hostesses and
checkers has not been suggested
should the system be adopted and
Would have to be worked out.'
The hostesses. will receive a
similar questionnaire on the sub
ject asking whether they would
like to serve under an advisory
capacity should such a system be
adopted s and if they feel they,
hve , enough competent girls in
their units to assume the positions
of hall chairmen.
.In reply to the suggestion that
an honor system be adopted in
stead of the proposed plan, Kay
Kingsley, speaker of the House,
explained that the plan under dis
cussion was suggested, as a com
promise between the present
method of operation and the hon
or system. The majority of WSGA
members , seem to feel that . the
honor system would .be too dras
tit a change from the present
method of enfoicing WSGA rules,
she explained.,
The questionnaires will be dis
tributed between a representative
numbar, of women students.
Co-chairmen of the elections
committee, Anne .Beebe and Di
ane Edelman, suggested that eiec
tions for the positions in the fes-
