the final decision in the nomina
tions rests with the clique."
Gordon Pogal, Lion party clique
chairman, said last night he was
not surprised to hear of the party's
formation.
"If the Campus party sincerely
intends to follow through with its
convictions, I believe it is basi
cally sound. However, I have rea
. son to believe the nucleus of this
organization is based more on re
sentment than on an ernest cam
paign for better student govern
ment." Pogal said.
Commenting on the effect the
movement might have on Lion
party, he added, "The Lion party
will continue to function as it has
in the past with the exception of
those few persons who have de
cided to join the ranks of the
Campus party. This will be of no
consequence to us, because our or
ganization
is basically strong and
has been further strengthened by
our new constitution."
Rae Della Donne, State party
clique chairman, said the third
party came as no surprise.
"I wish the former vice clique
chairman of State 'party luck on
his new venture, but the motives
behind it are glaringly obvious.
The Campus party movement has
taken no strength from the State
party," she said.
