Campbell To Be Guest Speaker At Journ Tea Kitty Campbell, women's edi tor of the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, will be guest speaker at the annual tea sponsored by Theta Sigma Phi, national wom en's professional journal:_m fra ternity, at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ath erton Hall. Miss Campbell specializes in women's dress fashions and re cently attended the Parish fashion show of designer Christian Dior. A picture in which she is shown interviewing Dior appears in the October issue of Life Magazine. Before transferring to the Bul letin, Miss Campbell was fashion editor of the Philadelphia In quirer, where she used the pen name of Cynthia Cabot. The name, however, is copyrighted and has remained with the Inquirer. Miss Campbell is a former Uni versity student and State College resident. Before turning to col umn writing, she wrote radio script. One hundred and fifty women have been invited to attend the tea, which will be held in the Northeast lounge of Atherton Hall. This is the first time , that women active in publicalions who are not also majoring in journal ism have been invited. 2 Named to Represent WRA at UN Seminar Mildred McCowan, seventh se mester home economics major, and Charlotte Klippel, filth se mester physical education major, were chosen as representatives of the Women's Recreation Associa tion to the United Nations seminar to be held in New York from Dec. 2 to 5. The WRA executive board made the selection Tues day night. The' Fakirs, who prefer to re main incognito, will read palms in the ancient manner employed by the early Indian fakirs. The itinerent fortune tellers predict ed the future by reading the lines in people's hands which supposed ly represented the stars influenc- , ing their lives. New Orleans Carnival A New Orleans carnival atmosl phere will be' the theme at the Mardi Gras, sponsored by Mortar Board, senior women's hat so ciety, from 8 to 11 tonight in Rec reation Hall. Everything from variety shows to games will be represented in the 27 booths spon sored by sorority, independent women's groups, and the- Cosmo politan Club. Weddings will be held through out the evening at the Sigma Del ta Tau marriage booth. The cere monies will be complete with wedding rings and marriage cer tificates. Women's Wrestling Members of "Gamma Phi Grap plers," a women's wrestling team, will display their muscles at the Gamma Phi Beta booth. Three finalists for Mardi Gras king, to be selected at the carnival by money votes, will appear at the Mardi Ball from 9 p.m. to midnight tomorrow in the Tem porary Union Building. The win ner will be selected by audience applause. The Ball,-sponsored by Chimes, junior women's hat society, will feature Danny Grove's orchestra. All-University Sing The all-University Sing, final event of the Mardi Gras weekend, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Schwab Auditorium. Frank Gullo, associate professor of music, and Dr. Hummel Fish burn, professor and head of the department of music, will lead the audience in group singing at the sing, sponsored. by Scrolls, senior women's hat society, and Cwens, sophomore women's hat society. The United Student Fellowship of the Faith Evangelical and Re formed Church will meet at the church at 7 tonight for a bowling party.
