Bell, Book—
(Continued from page one)'
man, the only uneccentric charac
ter, and therefore, he could not
give to the audience the interest
created 'by some of the others.
Still it is difficult not to believe
that his portrayal was only aver
age, but one that has a good
chance of improving with each
show. - -
Sportlight
Since “Bell, Book, and Candle”
didn’t live up to the usual- rela
tively high standard set by Play
ers’ shows, not mainly because
of the acting, it might have been
more- worthwhile if the show had
waited another week to open
since rehearsal time was rather.,
short.
