Students Participate
In Church Groups
Students’ participation in religious activities while at the Uni
versity is furthered by 14 student organizations sponsored by the
State College churches.
In addition to these student groups, the University Christian
Association, formed last spring from the Penn State Christian Asso
ciation, represents the Protestant students

holds a Sunday student class at
9:40 a.m. before the 10:45 a.m.
morning worship. The group holds
a Sunday evening meeting which
includes supper, evening worship,
and a fellowship program. The
fellowship has ' a choir which
meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays at
the student center, Nittany avenue
and Burrowes street.

The Penn State Bible Fellow
, ship, chapter of the Inter-Varsity
Christian Fellowship, is an inter
denominational and evangelical
student organization. A program
of Bible studies, prayer meetings,
and Bible conferences is conducted
throughout the school year. Regu
lar meetings are held at 7:30 p.m.
on Fridays in 405 1 Old Main. A
Sunday Bible study is held at
3 p.m. in 418 Oid Main.
The 3'Nai B'rith Hillel Foun
dation, 224 Locust lane, holds. so
cial, religious, cultural; athletic

The Westminster Student Fel
lowship of the Presbyterian
Church, Beaver avenue at Frazier
street, is the Presbyterian student
group oh campus. A breakfast is
held on Sunday at 8:50 a.m. fol
lowed by a worship, service. Four
seminars are held after worship
until 10:30. A regular Sunday ev
ening program is held at 6:20.
Matin is held at 7 a.m. Thursdays,
and at 7 p.m. Thursday, Bible
Study.
The Emerson Society of the
Unitarian Church holds regular
Sunday evening meetings at 6:15
p.m. in 304 Old Main. The meet
ings are usually in the form of
discussions. Suppers and other so
cial events are also sponsored by
the society.

Student church groups plan the
following weekend activities
Wesley Foundation —a party for
all students at 7:30 tonight at the
Foundation. Open house will be
held tomorrow. A coffee hour will
be held at 9:15 a.m. Sunday fol
lowed ' by the student church
school meeting.' Supper, followed
by-a worship service, will begin
at 5:15 p.m. Sunday at the Foun
dation.
Lutheran Student Association—
Open house at 7:30 tonight at the
student center. The student church
school class will meet at 9:30 a.m.
