Eisenhower yesterday told delegates to the Pennsylvania Press Conference that a good-will tour of Latin Ameri ca by Pennsylvania editors and publishers might make a unique contribution to the cause of inter-American understanding. Speaking at the annual dinner of the conference at the Nittany Lion Inn, he told the newsmen that such a trip would be one step toward a better understand ing of that hemisphere, Dr. Eisenhower called for a change in criterion of news re porting, editing, and interpreting from one of reader interest to one of reader understanding. Others Would Follow Move He said that if such a move ment would begin at home, press associations and foreign corre spondents would follow suit, and news for readers in the United States from the other America, would begin to take on a new meaning.
