Six Lion Seniors Entered Six of the Penn State entries will' be making their last varsity appearance. The seniors who made the. trip are Tony Procopio, Co caPtains Frank and Al Wick, Bob Lawrence, John Baffa, and Dick Spiese The' mainstays of the all-win ning- Nittany Lion team* over the past season, Jan Cronstedt, Karl Schwenzfeier, Streets Haag, and Bill Paxton, along with the afore mentioned Staters, were in top form before Wednesday's depar ture. Cronstedt, Procopio, and Sch werizfeier, will be shooting for the all-around title, the goal of every gymnast. Defending Champ Cronstedt is the clef epd i n g champ in that event. The Lions will open the season April 16-17 with the Ohio Relays at Ohio State University. This meet coupled with the Penn Re lays the following weekend will provide the Blue and White thin clads with some of the toughest competition they will face during the campaign. Traditional rivals Navy, Pitt, Michigan State,, and Manhattan —will be encountered on the fol lowing weekends. The first three dual meets will be held at the University and the meet with Jas pers will take place in New York. Last year the Lions were de feated by the Middies in a battle on the banks of the Severn, 73-58. Rosey Grier set a new Penn State mark in the shot put with a heave of 51'1 1 / 2 ". Grier's record has since been broken by Charlie Blockson with a mark of 51' 3 1 / 2 ". The Spartans whipped the Nit tanies in an away meet last sea son, 89-47. The government cleared up the baseball ticket tax situation to day and this is what it is likely to mean to you: On tickets already bought, you may get back the 10 per cent tax reduction if you take the trouble to go out to the ballpark and get your tciket stamped. On a $2.40 ticket, you'd get back 20 cents. You'll pay just as much as you have been paying for tickets you buy from now on. The baseball clubs will pocket the 10 per cent tax reduction.
