PAGE EIGHT Harrington to Speak At Chapel Service The Rev. Donald Harrington, minister of the Community Church of New York, will discuss "What is Your Dream?" at Chapel at 10:55 a.m. tomorrow in 'Schwab Auditorium. Harrington attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, 0., and received his B.A. from the University of Chicago. After receiving his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Meadville Theological School of Chicago, he was awarded the Cruft Traveling Fellowship and sailed to Europe in 1938. He traveled through Europe while a graduate student at the University of Leyden in Holland. In 1939 he married the Rev. Vilma Szantho, the first woman ordained to the ministry in Central Europe, in Budapest. After returning to America in 1939, the Harringtons settled in Chicago, where Harrington worked in community affa it s while preaching at the Peoples Liberal Church of Chicago. He is honorary president of the Murray Hill Community Chapter, and a member of the National Executive Council of the United World Federalist, Inc. He has just returned fr o m Players-- (Continued from page one) Walter Walters, as imbibed in Cole and Miss Wylie. It is doubt ful that the most hilarious lines of the show would have retained their amusing qualities if they had not been submitted to the experienced interpretation of these two fine actors. Worthiness Doubtful The play itself doesn't seem to be worthy of attention from a col lege dramatic group, but through excellent acting and fine costume and set designing, it becomes more than enjoyable. Russell 'Whaley deserves credit for both his excellent variety of costumes of the period and his fine sets. These are designed to reflect the atmosphere of the scenes, as contrasting England with Scotland. Leonard Tarnowski, playing Richard, prospective mate of Ma ria, doesn't seem to reach the high level of performance which is maintained by the other actors. Although supposed to portray a bashful, shy, and as he calls him self, "simple fellow," his baffled facial movements at times detract from his acting merits and cause him to appear in an unattractive light. Hits in Spots At scattered moments, however, Tarnowski falls into 'his part and performs in equal brilliance with the rest of the cast. Betsy Jones, playing Helen, friend to Maria, enraptures the audience with her happy sincerity and tolerance of her friends. She watches the antics of Maria and the duke with a sly, clever, lov able grin on her face and never seems to become peeved or dis gusted at their faults and insensi tivities. Tickets for the show, which will run for four more weekends, cost $1 and are on sale at the Stu dent Union desk in Old Main. APhiO Pledges To Meet Monday Alpha Phi Om eg a, national service fraternity, will hold its first pledge meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in 3 Sparks. Men may still pledge for the spring semes ter.
