klUtiUidlll Juniors to Hear Progress Report On Class Week Committee chairmen for Junior Week projects will present pro gress reports at the class meet ing at. 7 tonight in 121 Sparks, Josep Barnett, junior class pres ident has announced. Students attending the meet ing will have an opportunity to sign up for committee work after explanation of the various activi ties. The Junior Prom Nov. 6 in Recreation Hall will climax a week featuring a talent show, football gam e with Fordham, Band Day, "Hay Fever," the Players' show at Schwab Audi torium, and a special Chapel Choir service, Barnett said. Ralph Flanagan and his orchestra will play at the semi-formal dance. Tickets are $4 per couple. Robert Smoot is chairman of Junior Week. Serving on his com mittee are Carole Avery, Alec Beliasov, Otto Hetzel, John Speer, Benjamin Sinclair and Robert Homan. Jesse Arnelle and Barnett are in charge of Junior Prom plans. Thomas Kidd, Dorothy Swanson, Patricia Ellis and John Allen are members of the committee. A meeting of the Junior Week- Junior Prom committees will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Government room, 204 Old Main, Barnett said. A recommendation, presented to. cabinet by George Richards, Spring Week chairman, that May 12; 1954, be set aside as a student holiday for the Spring Week carnival was tabled by cabinet because no final date has been set for Spring Week. Approval of the administration is necessary for Spring Week plans this year. Three proposals recommended by Richards were approved. One of these gave $2500 'from last year's profits to the Penn State Student Scholarship Fund. An other $250 was allocated to buy permanent facilities such as aux iliary electrical equipment.
