Editors Say—
(Continued from page one)
Moscow trip, which was, part of
a 22,000 mile tour through 14
countries, stirred up a hubbub
in the American press. Time ac
cused them of writing about Mos
cow "as if they had never seen
a big city."
• Ali three editors pointed out
that on the basis of only seven
days, no ability to speak the
language, and the limited area of
Russia they were allowed to see,
they could not have any idea on
possible Russian policy or opinion.
They could only report, they said,
what they observed, as accurately
as they could. For that, Simon
said, they were accused of being
apologists for Russia.
Simon defended the "rosy" re
ports of Moscow life on the
grounds that a newspaperman
must be accurate and objective
no matter what the preconcep
tions of his material might be.

As Navigation Officer, is the pilot's guiding hand on every
flight!
As Radar Officer, is master of a new science and operator
