The silver Ugly Man key will be presented to Sherman by John Garber, fifth semester chemical engineering major, in behalf of Alpha Phi Omega, sponsor of the contest. Sherman will also receive the gold trophy for Beta Sigma Rho, his sponsor in the contest. Sherman, an eighth semester accounting major, won the Ugly Man penny-a-vote contest with a $112.23 total. Klein, professor of American history, has been named head of the History de partment for a three year term, President Milton S. Eisenhower announced yesterday. Dr. Klein, succeeding Dr. Al fred G. Pundt, received his B.A. degree at Franklin and Marshall College, M.A. at University of Chicago, and Ph.D. at University of Pennsylvania. Klein has been conducting re search on the life of President Buchanan and wrote "Story of Wheatland," Buchanan's Lancas ter home. He has also written "Pennsylvania Politics." SPRING Today - Tomorrow May 13 - 74 Behind Sigma Chi Graduation Ticket Limit Announced Tickets will be required for per sons attending commencement ex ercises if inclement weather forces proceedings into Recreation Hall. Three tickets will be allotted each graduating senior. Wilmer E. Kenwortliy, director of student affairs, said if exer cises were held in Beaver Field, no tickets would be required. Limitations will occur only if the split graduation plan in Rec Hall is followed because of bad weather. He said tickets will be given to seniors when they pick up caps land gowns at the Athletic Store. If commencement, set for June 4, is held inside, graduates will be divided into two groups, one at 10:30 a.m. and the other at 2 p.m. Being graduated in the morn ing will be students in the Schools of Education, Home Economics, Liberal Arts and Physical Educa tion, while those in the afternoon will be from the Schools of Agri culture, Chemistry and Physics, Engineering and Mineral Indus tries. • co .xt Commencement speaker will be Clarence Manion, law firm part ner of Droan and Manion, South Bend, Ind. He was dean of the College of Law at Notre Dame from 1941-52. 300 to Attend Pennsylvania Press Conclave Approximately 300 editors and publishers of Pennsylvania news papers will attend the two-day annual Pennsylvania Press Con ference Friday and Saturday at the College. The conference is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Society of News paper Editors, Pennsylvania Wom en's Press Association, Pennsyl vania Newspaper Publishers' Association and the Department of Journalism. .=, fi, Registration will be held Fri day morning.
