Laughton proceeded to read Bible stories, along with works of Shakespeare and, as the Christ-1 ian Science Monitor said, time after time he left with his audi , ence "a warm and personal ex perience." The art of oral interpretation has been emphasized at the Col lege in classes of Speech 280 and 285 and in the annual Pennsyl vania Interpretative Reading Fes tival. Four Represent College - • The fifth celebration of this fes tival will be held at the College April 30 and May 1 and will be under the direction of Mrs. Har riett D. Nesbitt and William W. Hamilton, assistant professors of speech. Letters have been sent to 80 colleges in the state inviting them to send delegates to the festival. Chase Award for demonstration of ex cellent citizenship and profession al interest. Miss Grimm is majoring in in stitution administration and is a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, and president of Omicron Nu. Both are honie economics honor ary societies. Vis iting alumni will be entertained Friday at an open-house at Phi Sigma Delta, and Saturday at a formal dance at the University Club. The College chapter. of Sigma Delta Tau became national in February, 1943, after spending ap proximately five years as a club known as - Emanon and as Phi pledge chapter.
