Matrix Girl is the title given to a woman who has contributed outstanding service to the College but has never been honored by a hat society. All three women are *seniors. The discussion will be held in Osmond Laboratory following the main event, the' panel on "The Miracle Fabrics Bring Their Own Problems." Leaders Of this group will be Dr. Dorothy _Houghton, assistant dean in charge of resident instruc tion; Dr. Kathleen Johnson, asso ciate professor of family econom ics and housing; Mary Shelten, associate professor in charge of clothing and textiles research and director of the Ellen H. Richards institute; and Dr. Margaret Zook, professor, of clothing and textiles. With new fibers changing the whole picture in the fields of tex tiles, it is important that the con sumer know whether or not the materials can be washed, ironed, dry cleaned, or folded for pack ing, explained Dr. Ruth Ayres, professor and head of the Depart ment of Clothing and Textiles, who is heading the program com mittee for Spring Weekend.
