Students taking conflict examinations will be notified by their instructors. Only students whose names appear on the instructors' lists will be permitted to take the conflict examinations, Watkins said. Disguising himself with both the mental and physical as pects of Amphitryon, Alkmena's beloved husband, Jupiter wins Alkmena for one night. Giraudoux, one of France's out standing dramatists, called hi s play "Amphitryon 38" as he felt it was about the 38th rendition of the Greek legend. Brooks Atkin son, New York Times drama crit ic, said Behrman's liberal transla tion could be called "Amphritry on 39." Jolly Oswalt will be seen as Alkmena with Gordon Greer as Jupiter and John Aniston as Am phitryon. Chambers, now. a faculty member of the School of Retailing, New York University, has been appointed associate pro-. fessor of clothing and textiles in the School of Home Economics, effective Feb. 1. Bernice G. Chambers Named associate professor Miss Chambers received her master's degree at the University of Washington where she held the Bon Marche Fellowship a f ter graduating from Oregon State College. After a period of high school teaching, she served as tex tiles assistant and clothing, spe cialist with the Bureau of Home Economics in the federal govern ment. Among the books written by Miss Chambers are "Color and Design," "Fashion Fundamentals," "Selling Fashion Merchandise," "Fashion Manual," and "Keyes to a Fashion Career." She also has written for many trade journals in the field of textiles and cloth ing design, interior decoration, and fashion. Miss Chambers is a member of Fashion Group, American Home Economics Association, Eta Mu Phi, honorary retail fraternity, and Inter-Color Society. She has served as advertising manager for the Acele Division of the Du- Pont Rayon Co., consulting stylist for the S. Stroock and Sterling Advertising Agency, and. adver tising display manager for the Tecla Knitting Mills.
