For 6 Escaped Convicts
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 1 (JP)
Police captured two of eight es
caped convicts from Western State
Penitentiary today and intensified
their search for six others who
overpowered guards and a dep
uty warden.
Of the 10 who made a break
for freedom instead of attending
church services in the big prison,
four are back in cells. One was
caught on the prison roof and
Russel Adamitz, proprietor of the
New College Diner. Both Mr. and
Mrs. Howell are employed by
Mr. Adamitz.
