Ensign Schiff was graduated

industrial engineering. He is a

Phi Omega, honorary , service
fraternity. He is stationed at Whit
ing Field, Milton, -Pia.
Christianson-Lentz -
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Lentz of
Springfield announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Betty Lou,
to Ralph Christianson of Bywood.
Miss Lentz is a seventh semes
ter elementary education major.
Mr. Christianson -is in the fifth
semester in political science.

and promote action on findings
of the Mid-Century White House
Conference held in 1950.

The queen, to be chosen by ap
plause during intermission, will
receive an inscribed -trophy. The
two runnersup will be given en
graved cups.
The dance, sponsored by the
Agriculture Student Council, will
be semi-formal. It is asked that
no- corsages be worn. Tickets on
sale at the Student Union desk in
Old. Main, are priced at $2 per
couple.

Alpha Tau Omega
-Alpha Tau Omega recently en
tertained the Rev. Luther ,H.
Harshbarger, College chaplain, at
dinner. An informal discussion in
the clubroom followed.
Alpha Xi Delta
The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta
recently entertained the pledges
at a sphaghetti dinner.
Sigma Phi Alpha
Sigma' Phi Alpha held its an
nual formal Thanksgiving ban
quet last week at the chapter
house. Entertainment followed.

Dance Duo
To Perform
At Hine!
The' Hillel Forum will present
a program of Jewish Dance per
formed by Fred Berk and Audrey
Golub 7:30 tonight at the Hillel
Foundation, 224 S. Miles street.
The program is based on themes
from the Bible, legends, scenes
from Eastern Europe. and life in
Israel. Following the program,
Berk will lead folk dancing for
those attending.
Some critics have called Berk
the outstanding dance interpreter
of Jewish themes in America to
day. In 1948 he toured displaced
person camps in Europe and in
1949, settlements in Israel. At
Present he-is director of the-dance
institute at Jewish Theological
Seminary.
A teacher at the Young Men's
Hebrew Association in New York
City, Berk also heads a project
at the Brooklyn Museum called
"Stage for' Dancers" and has ap
peared on and choreographed for
television.
Miss Golub is a dance graduate
of Adelphi College. She was chos
en audition winner of this year
by Anthony Tudor, Hanya Holm
and Agnes de Mulles.
Shannon Will Speak
On Advent at PSCA
The Rev. Jones B. Shannon,
rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal
Church, will speak on "The Ad
vent of Our God" at the Penn
State Christian Association meet
ing 7 p.m. tomorrow in 304 Old
Main.
This will be one of two Wed
nesday- night programs devoted to
the Christmas theme. Rachael
Witherow is chairman of "the
series.
The first regular workshop
meeting will be held Dec. 10.
Professor to Speak
At Founders' Banquet
A. Pauline Locklin, associate
professor of English literature,
will address the Founders' Day
banquet of Phi Beta Kappa, na
tional scholastic honorary, at 6:30
p.m. tomorrow in the State Col
lege Hotel.
Miss Ldcklin's subject will be
"Warbling Sea Gulls and Other
Literary Lapses."
