Last Opportunity Given
Students for Skin Tests
New students who have not completed skin tests will have one
more opportunity to do so tomorrow in the Dispensary, 3 Old Main,
Dr. Herbert R. Glenn has announced.
The College Health Service will give the innoculations any time
during the regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Each student will be told of

The Penn State Christian As

on the coming national elections

"Living in State College is very
enjoyable," said Simes, who re
sides with his wife at 110 E. Mc-
Cormick street. "I grew up in a
small town, Brockport, N.Y., and
I like the atmosphere of a small
town. It's more friendly, with less
confusion and hustle-bustle."
He pursues his favorite recre
ation, golf, at the Centre Hills
Country Club. He said he usually
scores in the high 80's, while his
best score is 85. He also attends
the Presbyterian Church in State
College.
Likes to Fish
Asked his favorite hobby, Simes
replied, "My wife and I are em
bryo antique collectors. We at
tend auction sales around the
county to buy early American
pieces and refinish the m, es
pecially cherrywood. We're not
so interested in antiquity as we
are in appearance."
Other "likes" of the new dean
of men are freshwater fishing in
Canada, reading historical novels.

Motorcade
Registrant
Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Chi Omega have combined to be
come the only registrant for the competitive motorcade to be held
Saturday before the Homecoming football game, George Donovan,
director of Student Union, announced yesterday.
Fred M. Coombs, chairman of the Pennsylvania Week committee,
said the Student Union desk in
Old Main has not been accepting
nominations due to a misunder
standing. The misunderstanding
is now corrected, he said. The
deadline for entries in the motor
cade, sponsored by the Pennsyl
vania Week committee, is 5 p.m.
Thursday.
- Floats entered in the motorcade
will follow the Pennsylvania
Week theme, "Pennsylvania De
fends Freedom." No horse or
tractor-drawn floats will be per
mitted on the Beaver-Field track.
Cars, trucks, or trailers are ac
ceptable, Coombs said.
There will be no limit to the
amount of funds an organization
may spend on individual floats.
People and animals may be used
Floats must be assembled in
the Hort Woods parking lot by
11 a.m. Saturday, Coombs said.
The motorcade will leave the
parking area at .12:15 p.m., and
circle the field- once. All floats
must be off the track by 1:10 p.m.
In case of inclement weather,
floats will not be permitted on
the Beaver Field track, Coombs
said. The motorcade will leave
Hort Woods parking lot at 11:15
a.m., and parade on College av
enue and the campus.
Criteria for judging will be ap
propriateness to the theme, orig
inality, eye -catching appeal,
beauty, amount, and quality of
work involved, and general ar
tistic worth. Coombs added.
