The decreased upperclass en rollment also results in a de creased order for yearbooks, and this increases the price per book. In 1950 there were 3625 copies produced at $10.19 per book. Last year, 2750 copies were produced at $11.73 per book. Freshmen have not been as sessed for the yearbook since 1950, when they paid $1.25 per semes ter. The unit cost of the LaVie per student would increase from $l2 to $l6. Backlog would not be charged to present sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Woodrow Bierly, LaVie ad viser, pointed out that since the only income for LaVie is student fees, this seems to be the only solution to meet present produc tion costs. In discussions on the floor of cabinet, Schoerke pointed ou t that the increase for this year's LaVie is not to elaborate on the yearbook, bu t merely to meet present production costs. Since this recommendation in volves a change in student fees it must be approved at two suc cessive cabinet meetings before action can be taken. This is a clause in the All-College Cabinet Constitution, John Laubach, All- College president, said. Jamestown, Va., was the meet ing place of the first representa tive assembly in 1619.
