the festivities of Spring Week,
and among the memories will be
those from tonight's houseparties
that are the final feature of the
week.• -
Science and fiction' will lend
their hand at the Acacia house
where monsters alive and other
wise will greet the guests. Win
dows 'will lead into .opace ship
where., the bandstand '.'of :Dick
Marli, who will play= ;for the
affair, Will resemble a porthole in
the ship.
Costumes typical of old Ger
manY will set the atmosßhere for
the German beer gatilen party at
Alpha vhi Rho where Jimmy
Spaniel will play. - •
A semi-formal dinner dance
will be held at Alpha• Epsilon Pi.
Music will be furnish. by Abba
Cohie g and his orchestra. The
party will be open at 8:30 p.m.

Gamma Rho where party goers
will enter through the memorable
date of the 17th. Costumes depict
ing holidays and seasons of the

Delta and set the mood for the
annual "South Sea Island !party.

Alpha Tau Omega. Music will be
provided by records and the
dance will be closed 'til 10 p.m.

Zeta where pastel shades of
spring flowers will set the stage
for the occasion. It will be open
at 10 p.m.
• Famous pirates of olden days
would receive a warm welcome
at the annual "Pirate. .Dance"
where lanterns, fishnets, and sea
shells will complete the motif at
the Beaver House. Guests will
climb the gangplank to the party,
which is open.
Lynn Christy and his orchestra
will furnish music for the dinner
dance_ which will be held- amidst
a tropical island atmosphere, at
Beta Sigma Rho. The party will
-be open at 9 p.m.,
A sweetheart will be - chosen at
the annual "Carnation Ball" at
the Delta Sigma Phi party. She
will•be given a cup and a bouquet
of roses. Music for the occasion
will be provided by the Sherwood
quintet.
Delta Tau Delta and , CM Phi
will hold a combined party on the
Delta Tau Delta tennis courts.
Japanese lanterns and ming trees
will transform the court into an
oriental garden. A large backdrop
behind! Lee Vincent and his or
chestra-will complete the setting.

The public is invited to a
"come as You Are" party at the
Kappa Sigme house where music
will be played by the Melody
Men.
"Spring Is. Here," the theme for
the pmega:.Phi• Psi lawn house
party, , will have an unusual
touch as tape recordings will pro
vide the music.
Figurines will decorate the
lawn at Phi Delta Theta and out
side Music will set the mood for
the annual Bowery Ball. Typical
1890 Bowery Day decorations will
be used. •
Phi GaMma Delta will hold
their annual clam bake at Green
wood Furnace tomorrow.
Conrad Buht and his orchestra
will furnish music for the infor
mal pledge dance at Phi Kappa.
The party is open.

house where dancing will be held

Mrs. Oliver Will Talk
To Graduation Women
Mrs. Robert T. Oliver will
speak on "Oriental Paradoxes" at
a coffee hour for all graduating
senior women at 6:30 p.m. Tues
day in the main lounge of Mc-
Elwain Hall.
Mrs. Oliver's husband, a pro
fessor of speech,. was formerly
an adviser to Syngman Rhee,
president of the Republic of
Korea.
In urging senior women to at
tend, Miss Mary Brewer, assist
ant to the dean of women, said
that information a b out com
mencement and the American
Association of University Women
will be relayed at the coffee hour.

6-Week Summer School
Planned for Children
A six-week summer school pro
gram, sponsored by the College,
will be held from June 30-to Aug
ust 9 for a limited number, of chil
dren who live in the State •COl
lege area and for children of vis
iting faculty members, Dr. Lawr
ence Park of the Department of
Education, co-ordinator, - an
nounced yesterday.
