Open House --

a section-indicating machine; and
a "radio station set-up which will
send Mothers Day greetings by
wireless. on the. main floor; and
an electrically controlled car and
wire recording and television ex
hibits, on the third floor.
Chemistry and physics students
will help conduct the tours in
the Chem-Phys School. Personally
conducted tours will leave the
Osmond lobby every 15 minutes
to visit the chemistry and physics
laboratories. Engineers will be
stationed at the exhibits, to an
swer questions.
Some of the displays to be
shown are the cyrogenics exhibit
in the basement of Pond labora
tory where fruits and meats will
be frozen and fried• with liquid
air; the magnetism and combus
tion of liquid oxygen; and the
condensation of carbon dioxide
with liquid air.
Another featured exhibit will
be the electron microscope in 13
Osmond. Equipment for prepara
tion •of specimens, and photo
graphic facilities for making elec
tron micrographs, will be dis
played.
A shock wave demonstration,
showing effects similar to explos
ions, will be in 14 Osmond.
In 306 Osmond, a colloid ex
hibit will' shOw substances which
can be broken down into small
particles and suspended in water.

charged by cabinet with the se

Cabinet also discussed Kras
nansky's fourth proposal, that the

handle the counting of ballots for
both the gift and class day hon
ors, and that the results be made
public. Craine, and David Olm
sted, senior class president, ques
tioned whether cabinet had the
power to say who should count
the b all ot s. However, cabinet
passed the resolution that the
elections committee cou n t the
ballots next year.
Krasnansky's fif t h proposal,
which wa s among those with
drawn pending committee action,
suggested that the elections com
mittee count the ballots this year.
John Laubach, All-College pres
ident, proposed that the problem
be committed to a constitutional
committee, but the proposal was
defeated.
Laubach also named Arthur
Rosfeld and Edward Howell to
the Penn State-in-China commit
te of cabinet.
The Freshman Dance committee
reported to cabinet that over 600
couples attended the dance, and
called the dance -..`successful."
Dance Concert Tonight
The final presentation of the
Modern Dance Concert, "And So
to the End" will be given at 8 to
night in White Hall. No more .tic
kets are available for the concert,
which is being given in conjunc
tion with the Combined Arts Fes
tival.
CommerCe Field Trip
Students in Commerce 15 took
a field trip last week through
the offices and locomotive shops
of the Bellefonte Central •Rail
road, winding up their• trip with a
ride in a caboose.
