Late Hours Grantesi
For Next Weekend
* UpperclaSs women will receive two o'clock permissions for next
Friday night, second semester freshmen
,wili get 2: one o'clocks
next weekend, and first semester freshmen will get a one o'clock
next Friday night and a twelve the following night.

The s ena t e unanimously ap
proved the plan to raise student
fees 25 cents per semester to pay
expenses of judging teams.
Weston to Speak
Mary, Jane Woodrow, WSGA
president, and the newly elected
president and vice president will
be the official delegates of WSGA
at the Eastern Regional Inter
collegiate Association of Women
Students convention to be held
April 23 to 26 at the College.

liver the opening address April 24.
President Milton S. Eisenhower
will speak at a luncheon that day.
In the' afternoon members of
Bine Key, junior men's hat so
ciety, and Alpha Phi Ome g a,
national service fraternity, will
take delegates on a tour of the
campus.

and panel discussions will be
held throughout the four day. con

Constitutional Changes
Nancy White, chairman of the
WSGA Freshman Council, said
the council will give its recom
mendations for changes in cus
toms .to the proposed Freshman
Customs Board. An amendment
to the All-College Constitution to
create the board - has been read
twice at All-College Cabinet and
will be voted upon at the next
cabinet meeting.
The Senate gave recommenda
tions for constitutional changes
to . Jane Stieber. who will . revise
the constitution:
Joan Hutchon, junior senator,
will be in charge of installation
of WSGA officers on April 29.
May 3 was set as a tentative
date for a WSGA retreat- which,
will be held off campus,
Schug _to Direct
Speech Association
A chapter of the Intercollegiate
Peace Speech Association will be
establihed •at Penn State under
the direction of Clayton H. Schug,
associate pr of es s o r of public
speaking.
The purpose of the association
is to hasten world 'peacq by •ab
quainting undergraduate students
with a broad, knowledge of peace
problems as a basis of world cit
izenship. The association stresses
participation. in the - PrePaiation
and delivery of orations, extem
pore s p e a k in g, and discussion
with the aim of interesting college
students in the prbblems or World
peace.

Bridge Victors
Duplicate hands were used in
the WRA bridge tournaments las
night as an experiment in skill
rather than luck. Dealt hands
have been used the previous two
weeks of the tournament.
Winners of the east-west team
were Joan Maguire and Janet
Tritt of Alpha ' Xi Delta. Rita
Schleifer and Sylvia Goldstein
of Sigma Delta Tau were the
winning north-south team.
It has yet not been determined
whether the use of du Plicate
hands will be .continued.
In this system of bridge, a corn!
pletely different scoring is used.
Because / the participants were un
familiar with the scoring, the re
sults were unavailable...
'Gay Nineties' Party
The Roger Williams Fellowship
will hold a "Gay Nineties" cos
tume party at 7:30 tonight at the
University Baptist Church. The
affair is open to the public.
Zeta Tau Alpha
Zeta Tau Alpha entertained Al 7
pha Chi. Rho recently at the frat
ernity house. A skit was pre
sented, and refreshments were
served.
Phi Sigma Sigma
Newly elected officers of the
Phi Sigma Sigma pledge class are

Finalists to Vie
For 1952 Title
• Three finalists have been chos
en to compete for the title of
1952 - Dairy Queen in a contest
sponsored by the Dairy Science
Club. The queen will reign at the
Dairy Exposition to be held on
May 10 at the College.
The finalists are Ann Chandler,
sponsored by Delta Delta Delta:
Edna Grabiak, sponsored by the
Block and Bridle Club: and Ann
Wylie, sponsored by Alpha Zeta.
They will appear at a meeting
of the 'Dairy Science Club at 7
p.m. Thursday in 117 Dairy build
ing. The entire club will make
the final selection.
A committee headed by Harry
Roth chose the finalists fr o m
photographs submitted by cam
pus organizations. Other members
of the committee were Edgar Feh
nel, Arthur Stone, William Grif
fith, Max L. Dawdy, instructor in
dairy husbandry, and -William R.
Davey, instructor in dairy hus
bandry.
There have been 16 major kid
napping cases since passage of the
Lindbergh kidna'pping law in
1932.
