At Chapel Service
"On Being the Right Size" will
be the topic of Dr. Halford E.
Luccock , at the Chapel services
at 11 a.m. today in Schwab Aud
itorium. Dr. Luccock has been
professor of pr ea c h i n g at the
Yale University Divinity School
for the past 24 years.
Th e Chapel Choir selections
will be "Herzliebster Jesu" by
Cruger, "Ye Watchers and Ye
Holy Ones" arranged by Fischer,
and "Cast Thy Burden Upon the
Lord" by Mendelssohn.
George Ceiga, organist. will
play "Fugue in A Minor" by Han
del as prelude, "Abide, 0 Dear
est Jesus" by *Flor Peeters as of
fertory, and. "Fantasia" by Wil
liam Byrd as postlude.
Flowers will ;be provided by
the Pi "Kappa Alpha fraternity,
which will attend the service in

secretary of the Methodist Board
of Foreign Mission, and editor of
the Christian Advocate.
Dr. Luccock received his B.A.
fr o m Northwestern University,
B.D. from Union Theological Sem
inary, M.A. from Columbia Uni
versity, D.D. from Syracuse Uni
versity, Litt.D. from Allegheny
College, B.D. from Wesleyan Uni
versity, and D.D. from the Uni
versity of Vermont. He is the au 4
thor of many books.

Political Parties to Meet
Lion Party members will be
asked to approve the first writ
ten party constitution in the. his
tory of campus politics, while the
State Party will continue nomi
nations and hold elections of party
clique officers at tonight's meet
ing.
The State Party will meet at
7 p.m. in 119 Osmond and the
Lion Party will meet 'at the same
time in 10 Sparks.
At the last State meeting only
three nominations for the avail
able offices were made. Thomas
Farrell Was nominated for clique
chairman, Robert Sherman fo r
senior class vice clique chairman,
and Ann Quigley for junior class
secretary treasurer.
Three to Resign
Nominations of- Lion Party of
ficers will not be made until a
constitution is approved.
Following the election of the
All-College clique officers of -the
State Party, three of the present
four officers will resign. They
are Robert Amole, clique chair
man; Frank Schley, vice clique
chairman; an d Marilyn Minor,
secretary. Richard Grossman will
continue as treasurer.
The Lion constitution, written
by Clair George and Alan Ma
loney, says in the preamble that
its purpose is to explain political
techniques and give each student
an awareness of his position in
campus politics.
Propose to Open Committee
The new constitution will be
read and explained by Maloney.

history of the State Party and
campus politics in general.
A proposal to expand 'the scope
and representation of the State
Party steering committee will be
presented. The steering commit
tee, according to present party
plans, is to be open to all active
members this year instead of the
more or less closed group it has
been in the past.
The steering committee of the
Lion Party would be expanded
by the proposed constitution by
making eve r,y elected and ap
pointed officer a member of it.
The major change in the pre
sent party setup for the Lions,
to be provided by the new con
stitution, would be a preserving
of the power of the party chair
man. Many of his actions would
be subject to approVall of the new
executive committee, to be made
up of the four party officers, and
each party clas chaff an.
