The new formula speak to your wife during the season. Whether this will work is still very much through some strange logic, some-1 one seems to have attributed Cpach Elmer Gross’ success with this year’s basketball team to exactly that reason. The rumor as Gross has heard it is that he hasn’t spoken to his wife in three weeks, which would date back to the point where the Lions were beginning to develop, a sizable winning streak. Someone evidently believes that women kr '■’Oihir about basketball a n to have a gof team, a co a c must hibernal , duripg the cour: of a winnin streak. Gross, amust at the rumo says that the n< formula is an i teresling onebv he wouldn't ad vise any basket ball coach to use it. “With the ‘ team playing the way it is, I’m satisfied with the system I’m.using now. And be sides, I don’t think my wife would let me use the other one,” he chuckled. Incidentally, Mrs. Gross is an avid basketball fan and attends all the games in Rec Hall. Such is the price of success. When a coach is winning only half the games, all anyone wants to know is who he's going to start in the next contest. But just get a winning streak started, especially one about 12 games long. Later in the nationals, which were also held in Rec Hall, Speiser went to the finals before being eliminated. Kois, in his first collegiate fight at Catholic U.
