Barons Sponsor Review Tuesday Comedy acts, singing, dancing, and magic exhibitions will all be part of the "Splinterville Re view," a talent show for Nittany- Pollock men which will be held Tuesday night in the TUB. Wiegand, director of the department of physical plant, has announced. Setting up additional chairs after the service has started would create too much distur bance and also violate regula tions, he added. This announcement came in answer to a student's telephone conversation with President Mil ton S. Eisenhower. The student complained to the President that he was turned away from Chapel one Sunday morning because all the regular sea t s were filled when he arrived. The Rev. Luther Harshbarger, College chaplain, recommended that chapel-goers come to Chapel early in order to be sure of get ting a seat. The ushers will do everything in their power to seat everyone, he said. These uranium mines are owned by private individuals with two exceptions, Dr. Glennan said. All the mills used in processing the ore are also privately owned. In spite of the fact that the mines are privately owned, they oper ate under the stipulation that all the ore mined must be sold to the government, the AEC mem ber said. Contrary to common belief, ore deposits are not rich in uran ium, he explained. If two pounds of pure uranium can be obtained from a ton of ore, the commission regards the ore as rich, he added. The AEC was established al most wholly for developing at om i c weapons, the commis sioner explained. Towards this end over 6 1 / 2 billion dollars have been spent since 1942.
