'President Day' Rejected
Cabinet passed a motion by
Harry Cover, All-College vice
president, to have Marilyn Levitt,
Panhellenic Council president,
submit a report on the sorority
house problem. He said in order
to end the recent rumors on cam
pus concerning the situation a
report should be made public for
all concerned.
The group turned down a rec
ommendation by Ronald Bonn,
Froth editor, to have cabinet co
sponsor with Froth a "president
for a day" program by a 17 to g,
vote. There was one abstention'
Bonn asked tkat, if President
Milton S. Eisenhower would give
his approval, a student selected
from a letterwritiag contest
would become president of the
College for one day.
It was indicated that the Presi
dent would not approve the plan
if promotion of Froth was the
main idea, but if it would ad
vance student government he
would "consider it very closely."
James Worth, All-College presi
dent, appointed Richard Lelnyre
sophomore representative an d
Walter Sachs junior representa
tive to Tribunal. The appoint
ments were made to fill the
positions created by an amend
ment to the Constitution which
was passed by cabinet last week.
McKinney Elected
WASHINGTON, Oct. 31-VP)-
Frank E. McKinney, 47-year-old
Indiana banker and businessman,
was elected chairman of the Dem
ocratic national committee today,
and President Truman told him
to get ready to combat a "Repub
lican smear campaign" in 1952.

degradation and brutality. •
Vogeler said that no real evi
dence of guilt was ever pre
sented, because no evidence ever
existed. "I played a stellar role
in a gigantic public Fraud"
In a question period' that fol
lowed the lecture, Vogeler said
that he did not think that the
loyalty oath would do anything
to help preserve America's free
dom.
