in recognition of her service as
manager of the women's debate
team. Miss Pulver will also be
manager next year.

Zurier-Rosen
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rosen, of
Allentown, have announced the
engagement of their daughter,
Janet, to Melvin Zurier, of Provi
dence, R.I.
Miss Rosen is a graduating sen
ior in psychology, and is a mem
ber of Sigma Delta Tau sorority.
She is former feature editor of the
Collegian, and served as presi
dent of Mortar Board, senior wo
men's honorary.
Mr. Zurier is a first-year law
ient . at Harvard University.
The wedding will take place in
Allentown on July 4.

picnic Saturday afternoon at
Black Moshannon Park.
The alumnae members of the
sorority entertained the actives
and pledges at the traditional
Pansy Breakfast on Sunday morn
ing at the home of Mrs. Chester
Dahle. Boalsburg.
Mary Clymer received th e
award for the senior making the
greatest academic improvement
and Mary Lou Larpenteur was
awarded a cup for having the
highest average among the senior
members of the sorority.
Ann Titmus, of the junior class.
and Joan Crawford, of the sopho
more class, received bracelets for
the greatest improvement in
scholarship in their respective
classes.

initiated into Kappa Delta soro
ity.

PUBLICATIONS: The Alumni News, a 32-page magazine published 7 times a year,
and rated as one of the outstanding alumni magazines in the country; the Penn
Stater, a quarterly newspaper; the Football Letetr, a personalized, printed account,
of each football game mailed out each week during the season.
PRIORITY ON FOOTBALL TICKETS: The Athletic Association grants first priority
on reserved football tickets, both home and away games, to active members of the
Alumni Association. •
DISTRICT CLUBS: The Alumni Association sponsors 62 District Clubs in all parts
of the United States. These clubs often help young alumni to become acquainted and
acclimated in new localities.
KEEPING UP WITH ALUMNI: The Alumni Office maintains the only biographical
and occupational records of 40,000 alumni and former students and has the only
active alumni mailing list in existence. Over 10,000 addresses are changed annually.
THE BIG OCCASIONS: Homecoming in the fall and Class Reunions in June,
supplemented by the new Alumni Institute, are planned and conducted by the
Alumni Association.

Anne Wiggins, a senior in so

Barbara Hallar award given an

The award of $25 is given in
memory of Miss Hallar, a former
